Community guidelines

cosomething works when people are honest and clear with each other. These guidelines apply to projects, applications, messages and profiles.

Be honest

  • Describe your project and your experience truthfully.
  • Don't pretend to be someone else or to have credentials you don't have.

Be clear about terms

  • Say what a seat involves, how long it lasts and how people are rewarded. If it's not decided, say so.
  • Don't promise a seat, equity or payment you don't intend to give.
  • Don't ask for large amounts of unpaid work to evaluate someone. A small, clearly scoped trial that tests how you work together is fine. Collecting free work is not.

Respect people

  • No harassment, hate, threats or sexual content.
  • Decline applications kindly. A short note helps.
  • Keep what's said in team spaces and applications private.

Keep it safe and legal

  • No spam, scams, or advertising unrelated to a real collaboration.
  • Don't post anything illegal, or anyone's private information.
  • Credit people for their work and agree who owns what before you make something together.

Reports and consequences

Anyone signed in can report a project, a person, or a message, and can block a person. Reports are reviewed by the people who run the site. Content may be removed and accounts suspended. If you think we got it wrong, use the contact details given by whoever runs this site.
